Christmas 2007

Current Song: Young Courage by Mezz Coleman (if you haven't heard her, google her myspace!)

Christmas Day:
Went to church in the morning and then after chatting with people. Cathlyn, Richard and Gran came back to our house to do a bit of a gift exchange thing. Well, Gran, Mum and Dad gave presents because they had presents for everyone before we decided to do Kris-Kringle. Cathlyn and Richard had to go to Richard's parents for lunch, hence the early gift-exchanging. We ended up watching some VeggieTales before we went out to Aunty Rosey's because Rach got a dvd. So Rach and me were actually being silly and dancing to all the songs and singing along, "Look at the tomato, isn't he sad? He can't dance. He wishes he could dance, but he can't." Hehe. I went out with Gran to the Perry's because we left slightly earlier so I could go to Baz's house and steal some pics from his computer first. But, we arrived very last! We got lost! But that's okay, it was fun. Nobody was stressed! :-) Gran was slightly annoyed because she got lost last year too, but it's okay. (I think it's nice that Gran is always invited to the Conabere side of Christmas.)

Uncle Geoff was disappointed that Baz wasn't there because he couldn't use his tricks on him. And no doubt Andrew and Stephen bought him more for Christmas! So Aunty Heather and Scott were there (Meagan and Sam were at Sam's parents). I talked to Scott a bit, it was actually pretty cool! Uncle David came! I was pretty happy, because he didn't really know and he hasn't come in a while. I made sure I took some time to chat with him because I was earlier saying how good it would be if he came. It was also good to catch up with him and what's going on in his life these days without Aunty Carol around. Obviously Uncle Geoff and Aunty Rosey were there. Megan and Andrew too, with their wii Sports and all these new games! And Stephen came - yay! I like Stephen. He's probably always been my 'favourite' cousin on that side. If I'm allowed to say that. Then Melissa and Liam also came down, then went along to Sale to see Liam's Mum after that. Oh, Rach was down too. But Mike was with his family. It was pretty fun overall I guess!

When we went home, we watched a film called, 'Catch and Release' - different, but ok. We had Cathlyn and Richard over for tea and ate infront of the movie! But then after we played Taboo. And it was off to a rocky start, but in the end became quite fun indeed! And then my boy came to visit me at my house! Yay!

The Marett side of Christmas was the following day, Boxing Day, this time at Melissa and Liam's house in Footscray. It was cool because their house is rather large. We were actually the first to arrive I think, although the last to leave Traralgon! Very nice BBQ and exchange of our Kris-Kringle gifts. Cathlyn got me a box of goodies, it was cool. The rest of the folk came and Louise made a lovely strawberry frozen yoghurt type dessert. We played backyard cricket a lot of the day. It was good fun to have everyone join in. I liked having Baz there. Mike and Baz's first Christmas's with us. Yay, it was good that everyone joined in and had fun.

Later on, we went and saw Rachel's house in Brunswick and we also played her wii sports - well, it's actually Mike's. That was pretty fun. We - Mum, Dad, Rach, Baz and myself - had pizza for tea and then we went to the movies at Highpoint. That was fun. Bubble Cup and we saw National Treasure. It was pretty funny. I enjoyed it. When we got home we pretty much conked it and went to bed. Cricket the day to follow! More about that soon. I'm trying to update...
